Installing DBFree 2.1 RC5.8  (Installing DBFree 1.9 screenshots)

DBFree 2.1 version RC58 comes with or without Windows installer: if you already have installed DBFree read the FAQ

Launch | Agreement | Info | Username | Folder | Proceed | Wait | Decompress | Install | Finish | Errors

1 - Download the file and open it using WinRAR or just save the file in a temporary folder then extract the installer.

 
2 - Launch the installer:

 
3 - Read the agreement

 
4 - Read other info

 
5 - your username and organization (optional). The username should be automatically detected and should not be changed unless you're planning to run the system by logging into Windows with another account.

 
6 - installation folder. This can be changed to another drive and eventually to another path.
Installing to another drive poses no problems, while changing the path is something for experienced users running production servers because requires a manual reconfiguration and fine tuning.

 
7 - just proceed

 
8 - just proceed

 
9 - wait temporary file decompression to finish...

 
10 - start the installation

 
11 - just wait the installation to finish

 
Installation completed.

You should see this screen:

 

Should you see an error message like this NOT FOUND chances are that you already have another webserver running on port 80!
 

Check Windows start menu:
