Important Notice about Antivirus False Positive
Some DBFree example may include BMAIL an open-source, SourceForge.net program for sending mail that some antivirus marks as malware.
BMAIL it is used by some example but is not an indispensable part of DBFree engine or DBFree binary install,
and it is not a virus or a malware of any sort. (see www.blat.net)
It is often marked as malware because it can be used for
sending massive mails, and this is exactly the scope of the cited MaxScript examples, that read email addresses from a database and mail them, or send a mail as part of login registration process. For the moment examples including BMAIL.exe have been removed from main distribution and can be downloaded as separate files.

Release Candidates (marked as RC) of DBFree 2.1 are based on free2.max library, wich offers functions for serving unlimited users.
Versions including Xitami 2.5 are distributed as Windows Installer EXEs, and offer multi-host capabilities to run multiple web sites sharing the same port 80.

The installer configures Xitami for multiple hosts and installs 3 internal sites with DB Assistant, CMD Prompt and Language Reference. under 3 local URLs.

Main site can be used directly on internet because management and maintenace pages are IP checked so to become visible only to local addresses (class A,B,C) and from the server console itself.

Xbase/Clipper indexes and tables are supported natively: some samples are included (using DB PARTS.dbf) while other examples will be posted on this site as they become available.
